FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: What is the cost?
A: Our crates are a 24-hour rental for $55.00 per crate. Yeah, that’s right. Many escape rooms are $40 per person. Not ours. Rentals also require a $60.00 fully refundable deposit (per crate) in case of any damaged or missing items. Q: Where is Lockbox Mysteries located? A: We are based in North Las Vegas, Nevada. |
Q: How many people can play? Can I do this by myself?
A: Our crates are recommended for up to 8 players. The ideal # of players is 4-6. With more than 8 people, things start to get chaotic, and people start to feel useless or become distracted/distracting. So if you have more than 8 players, may we suggest renting 2 crates and competing against each other?! Oh yeah. That just took things up a notch.
The mystery can be solved escape room style with 60 minutes on the clock, or your team can take a more laid-back approach and work on every puzzle together. Two players could certainly take on the hour challenge by themselves, but it might be tough! But hey, if you and your buddy are up for the challenge, go for it!
Or, you can absolutely work alone. If you’re like me, you welcome the brain challenge of figuring everything out by yourself… and the fewer hints you use, the cooler you feel. And if you can solve it all yourself in an hour? You should have my job.
Q: Does this require setup?
A: No setup is needed. A large room like a family room or game room is ideal for game play. A large table or workspace with chairs is also helpful.
Q: As the host, will I know the answers?
A: Nope! If you are hosting, nothing is spoiled for you. No one needs to know answers or hiding places. Just gather some friends, read the instructions, and you’re in on the fun just like everyone else!
Q: What ages are these mysteries geared toward?
A: Our mysteries are designed for adults, but younger players can certainly get in on the fun. The puzzles and codes would likely be solvable by players as young as 10, however parental discretion is advised. While nothing is graphic or morbid, our crates often include adult themes such as murder, extramarital affairs, homicide reports, etc.
Q: What type of group would enjoy a Lockbox Mystery?
A: Our mysteries are great for all kinds of groups!
